Some of us will say a lot. Some of us will share a little. Some of us will say nothing. Some of us will show pictures and news coverage. Some of us have created and are sharing lessons and activities. Some of us will say we are going to say something, but we won't.
Some of our students will say a lot. Some of them will say a few words. Some of them will say nothing. Some of them have watched the news all evening and some have no idea what's going on. Some of them have heard it from their families, friends, and on social media.
What I want to know is: What are you going to say to your colleagues?
I have scrolled as many educators have shared the chaos in the news. They've shared quotes, images, videos, resources, and thoughts. But what about the ones that haven't? Are they silent due to shock? Are they silent because they are still processing the information? Are they silent out of fear? Or- or are they silent in support?
So, I'll ask you again. What are you going to say to your colleagues?
