PURPOSE

To create Young Historians (PreK to 6th grade) by informing, teaching, and engaging children in Black Histories through books, discussions and activities.

Goals: 

1. Highlight the life and achievements of Black people in art, music, leadership, sports, science, etc. 

2. Build a repertoire of books where students can gather information and learn about Black cultures and histories. 

3. Create a community where Young Historians can learn and feel safe discussing and learning about the hardships and triumphs of Black people.
