When we aren't creating our own songs, we use a variety of songs from different places. I will detail what songs we use from where and link them below.
Flocabulary: Flocabulary is a GREAT resources for teaching different concepts through song. Social Studies, ELA, SEL, Science, Math, etc. They relay news through song and so much more! For an individual plan, the cost is $10, but they do offer a free trial. We recently used Flocabulary to learn about character traits which was our focus in reading a few weeks ago.
YouTube: The song we use to transition into math, some of our Just Dance videos, and other songs can be found on YouTube. The link will take you to my YouTube playlist of videos I use. Other videos that I use from YouTube have been uploaded into my GoNoodle account.
GoNoodle: Did you know that you can upload videos from YouTube and put them into your GoNoodle account? Changed. My. Life. This way, I don't have to go to so many different websites for our learning or brain break videos.
Blazer Fresh is a channel on GoNoodle that we love! We use Blazer Fresh to learn about syllables.
Amazon Music: This is the place where I have created a playlist of music that we listen to as we start our day, during our writing time, during transitions, during free choice, or at any time during the day. Whether virtual or in person, our classroom is always filled with music from different artists and genres.
Where do you get your learning songs from? Do you create your own or do you have a favorite resource?
Happy Teaching,
